The whiskey sector was once reserved for a select group of industry insiders. At the Whiskey Investment Club, we offer private individuals and investors access to the exciting world of wholesale premium whiskey cask ownership. What is involved in the whiskey investment process is usually the first question that we’re asked when speaking to clients. We’ve broken the process down into 6 simple steps:
Contact Us:
Take the first step in the whiskey investment process by contacting us today or requesting further information. Our whiskey cask experts are here to guide you through the process and make it as seamless as possible for you.
Consultation:
Our team will take the time to understand your goals to ensure that we provide you with investment opportunities that match your investment strategy. After this initial consultation, we will still be on call to answer any questions or queries you may have on the investment process.
Visit Us:
It’s always a good idea to taste what you’re investing in! You can visit us at the award-winning Boann Distillery (20 minutes away from Dublin Airport), where you can put a face to a name, experience the production process first hand and enjoy sipping on whiskey while you’re at it!
Certification:
Once you have chosen your desired casks we will send you documentation to complete the purchase. Once payment is complete you will receive certification from both the Whiskey Investment Club (as well as your welcome package) and from the government bonded warehouse where your casks are being stored.
Sit & Wait:
Once the hard work is done, it’s time to sit back, relax and wait for your casks to mature. We recommend a minimum of five years for maturation. While you’re free to exit the market whenever you would like, it’s important to note that it takes Irish whiskey 3 years of maturation to be legally called ‘whiskey’.
Exit Strategies:
When you’re ready to exit your investment, The Whiskey Investment Club will be here to plan an exit strategy tailored to your specific needs. Your options include selling it to whiskey brand owners, other distilleries seeking mature stock or bottling your own bottles of whiskey to enjoy!
